Where do you get your inventory?
Any and everywhere! Because of our relationship with the film community, we do acquire some of our inventory from local productions when they wrap. Other pieces come from people just like you!
How often do you get new inventory?
We are constantly refreshing our racks. For the most up to date pieces, check out our booth at local markets and get a look before anyone else!
Can you ship to me?
We are actively working to provide a shipping offering in the coming months, however at this time, Last Looks purchases are available exclusively for local pick-up in the Wilmington, NC area.
How do I know if a piece I bought has been used in a movie/on TV?
We do our best to mark every "featured" item with a green tag and include the production. If you don't see a production listed on a green tag, feel free to reach out to us to ask!
Rental FAqs
How does the rental process work?
Select your rental dates: Know when you’re shooting? Have an idea of when you’re doing fittings? Select your rental dates to see what’s available when you need it!
Add pieces to your cart: Your cart is the Andy to your Miranda, holding onto the pieces you may want to come back to later in her arms. The rate listed is for weekly rentals (7 calendar days).
Confirm what pieces you want and remove the ones you don’t: Clear your cart of anything you may not want to rent.
Complete your rental: Once you complete your rental, you’ll receive a confirmation notice with your invoice and rental contract within 24 hours. Keep in mind that contract signatures and payments are due prior to pickup unless otherwise discussed to ensure that our items are well taken care of and pick-ups are arranged.
What happens if I damage or stain a rented item?
Any items not returned or returned with damage will incur a loss/damage fee. Damage is defined as, but not limited to: rips, snags, staining/discoloration, permanent alterations, etc. The loss/damage fee is equal to ten times the weekly rental cost per item. You are required to notify LAST LOOKS COSTUMES, LLC of any damaged items found upon initial receipt of the order (within 24 hours) to avoid additional fees upon return.
Whats your policy on alterations, aging, dyeing, and cleaning?
Permanent alterations are not allowed on any rented items. This includes but is not limited to cutting, dyeing, painting, use of adhesives, or stitching that irreparably damages the material.
Items that are permanently altered will be considered a total loss and taken as a loss/damage out of the deposit.
Any alterations made to rented items must be pre-approved and fully reversed before the items are returned. This includes but is not limited to:
- Items taken in or let out, hems raised or lowered, and elements removed from or added to clothing.
- Items not returned to their original condition will incur an alterations fee taken out of the deposit.
- All clothing items must be returned cleaned & free of odor.
Follow all cleaning instructions within the garment to avoid damage. Items damaged by cleaning will be treated as a loss/damage. Any uncleaned/odorous items will incur a cleaning fee taken out of the deposit.
What if we need more time with an item?
You can extend the rental period for some or all items on your order after you've paid their initial invoice. You're responsible for reaching out to LAST LOOKS COSTUMES, LLC within 7 calendar days of your return date to request an extension. Last-minute extensions may be denied due to item availability. An additional invoice will be issued for the extended rental period of the retained items.
Do you have an order minimum?
Our costumes and equipment are available for weekly rentals at per-item rates. The minimum rental period for our stock is 7 calendar days and there is an order minimum of $250.
We are in a rush! Is there a charge for last-minute rentals?
Expedited services (less than 48 hours) are available for a fee equal to 25% of the rental estimate.
Do you provide styling, fitting/alteration, and/or design services?
Although we forsee a world in which we would provide these services as our company grows. We don't provide any styling, fitting/alteration, and/or design services at this time.
